A 28-year-old Pakistani TikTok creator with around 1.3 million followers was shot dead in Taxila, near Islamabad, with her family alleging that a longstanding financial dispute may have been linked to the killing.
The victim was identified by local media as Shamso Bibi, also known as Ayesha Gilamana. Police registered a murder case after her father, Fazal Sahibzada, filed a complaint over the August 14 shooting.

According to the complaint, Bibi had received a phone call from a man identified as Kashif, also known as “Kashi”, who asked her to come outside the family home. She subsequently left in a car with her 15-year-old sister Aseema and her brother Naimatullah.
The family alleges that two unidentified men riding a motorcycle opened fire on the vehicle near a petrol station. Bibi was killed in the attack, while her sister was reportedly injured.
Her father told police that Bibi had financial dealings with two men identified as Kausar and Javed, alias Shaheen. He alleged that she had received threats in connection with demands for repayment and had previously lodged a complaint against the two men in Islamabad.

The family has expressed suspicion that the two men could have been involved in the attack or may have arranged it through others. Her father’s complaint also raises questions about Kashif’s role, given that he reportedly called Bibi shortly before she left home. These allegations have not been independently verified.
Bibi had been making TikTok videos for around three to four years and had amassed about 1.3 million followers. Her brother Rehmatullah said her account had received more than 30 million likes before the family deactivated it following her death. Her official TikTok account could not be independently located.

Police have registered the case under Sections 302, 324, 109 and 34 of the Pakistan Penal Code, relating to murder, attempted murder, abetment and acts allegedly carried out with a common intention.
Investigators are now expected to establish the identities of the attackers, determine the motive and examine the alleged financial dispute, as well as the phone call that preceded the shooting.
The investigation remains underway, and the allegations made by Bibi’s family have not been established in court.
