Delhi govt launches one-year free JEE, NEET coaching for Class 12 students with NGO’s help

A new entrance exam called Joint Dakshana Selection Test (JSDT) 2027 will be held in December 2026 to select students for a scholarship conducted by a Pune-based NGO, which will enable them for the free coaching.

In an apparent effort to win back the support of the youth, the Delhi government has launched a new initiative to offer a year’s free residential coaching for JEE and NEET to Class 12 students preparing for these competitive entrance exams.

The Delhi government’s Directorate of Education (DoE) has issued a circular to government-run schools about the programme and asked them to spread awareness among eligible students. The programme aims at improving students’ chances of success in JEE and NEET by providing quality academic support and a structured learning environment, said officials.

Students studying in government and government-aided schools can avail themselves of this benefit, which will be conducted under a scholarship provided by Dakshana Foundation, a Pune-based nonprofit organisation, reported PTI. Class 12 Science students who are currently enrolled in government or government-aided schools and have a strong academic record are eligible to apply for this scholarship.

Students qualifying in this test will get a year’s fully residential coaching at Dakshana Valley, the foundation’s campus in Kadus village near Pune, Maharashtra.

Students will not have to bear any expenses for the entire duration of the course as the scholarship covers the cost of coaching, hostel accommodation and meals. It will help particularly students from financially weaker backgrounds to prepare for JEE and NEET.

Students selected for the free coaching programme through the scholarship test will be required to take mock tests to get familiar with the online examination interface before they appear for the JDST 2027. They would be assigned examination centres, where they would take the mock tests using their mobile phones.
